This summer marks a new adventure in our lives, and an introduction of printmaking to the Little Rock Farmer's Market. The summer of 2015, my wife and I established Rhinodillo Designs. It is a collaborative effort of two artists, two creatives, on this life journey together. Hannah, pictured above, is a local artist to Little Rock. She has focused the last few years on printmaking, and offers a variety of prints using different techniques. I, Robert, primarily focus on graphic design and t-shirts. While both of us work full-time jobs, it is our passion to create, and share our work with others. We love telling our stories of what inspired our creations, and how we create the work that we do.
Throughout the summer of 2015, and the full Farmer's Market season, we will have a booth at the Little Rock Farmer's Market downtown every Saturday from 7am-2pm. Hannah's original artwork is for sale, as well as some original t-shirt designs, hand-printed right here in Little Rock. We also have mason jar scented candles created by Hannah. We try to use natural ingredients in these candles, and are moving to making them only from beeswax and coconut oils, along with scented oils.
The t-shirts are a brand new venture for us both. I have designed t-shirts for various events and competitions in the past, however have never really just expressed my own creativeness through this artform. We plan to release designs as we can, and have started with a tribute to art in Little Rock, AR. This design, pictured above, features the artist's brush, dripping with the medium to create. It is entitled "Paint The Rock" and is printed on American Apparel t-shirts, made right here in the USA and sweatshop free.
When you come by the Farmer's Market, stop by and chat. We'd love to talk with you about our work, as well as what inspires you. There is a Creative in all of us. Sometimes it just takes a little inspiration to bring it out.
